Our sale will be open to the public in the Gymnasium of Bright Star United Methodist Church on:

Thursday, Aug, 11 from 9:00am — 7:00pm,
Friday, Aug, 12 from 9:00am — 7:00pm and
Saturday, Aug, 13 from 9:00am — 1:00pm.

Seller Responsibility
  • You will prepare (wash, hang or bag, tag and price) your own items in advance. Please sort all clothing by size and gender to speed the racking process.
  • You will bring your items to the Gym during designated drop-off times on Tuesday, Aug, 09 and Wednesday, Aug, 10.
  • You must take the time at drop off to fully assemble all cribs and large play equipment (bring the necessary tools). In our experience, these items sell quickly fully assembled.
  • It takes a cooperative effort to have a successful sale. Decide whether you will work a 4-hour shift to help staff the sale (shifts are scheduled between Tuesday morning and Sunday afternoon). Earn an additional Preview Sale pass for working a minimum of 4 hours. ALL Volunteers shop 30 minutes early!
  • Help publicize the sale by placing yard signs and distributing flyers among friends, neighbors, schoolmates and co-workers, relatives, etc.
Check-in

Items may be dropped off in the Gymnasium anytime from 11:00am — 5:30pm on Tuesday, Aug, 09 or 9:00am — 4:00pm on Wednesday, Aug, 10. Bring with you a self-addressed stamped #10 business sized envelope (so that we may mail your commission check directly to you) and your signed Seller Agreement.

Come to the Greeter table first to be checked in by a volunteer. You will turn in your envelope and paperwork. If you do not bring a stamped envelope, $1 will be deducted from your consignor's check. You will be given any earned Preview passes. Your items will be inspected for acceptance, and we will check that everything is properly tagged and using the correct seller number. Then, you will be asked to rack your own clothes. If this presents a problem, we will try our best to assist.

Please do not sell any of your items in the parking lot to other sellers or volunteers. It is unfair to our volunteers who work for the first opportunity to purchase all of the merchandise brought to the sale.

Preview Sale

Wednesday, Aug, 10 from 5:00pm — 7:00pm. One pass per person.

1 pass earned by: Any seller having more than 30 items accepted for sale

1 pass earned by: Any seller volunteering to work a minimum of 4 hours

1 pass earned by: Any non-seller volunteering to work a minimum of 4 hours

Sellers earning two passes may use one to invite a friend or family member to join us for an evening of great shopping!

ALL Volunteers shop 30 minutes early!

Pick-up

You may pick up your unsold items during the scheduled time following the sale.

We will sort all merchandise and arrange by seller number. Please take time to go through all of your items to make sure we have not miss-sorted anything. If you find an item that does not belong to you, please give it to a volunteer.

Proceed to the Lost Tag area and check if any items belong to you.

If someone is picking up for you, they must know your seller number AND name to match. If someone is picking up for you, they most likely will not be able to identify any of your items in the Lost Tag area. For this reason, it may be best for you to pick up your own items.

Anything not picked up during the scheduled time following the sale, becomes the property of Bright Star Preschool and most items will be donated to local charities.

Payment

Consignors receive 70% of their final sales less the $10 Registration/Seller fee required of all sellers to offset the rising costs of the sale. This is a one time fee and is not per item. Commission checks will be mailed to all sellers within 2 weeks of the end of the sale.. We ask that you cash or deposit your checks within 2 weeks. $10 fee may be waived by volunteering an additional 4 hours (beyond the initial 4 for the Preview Sale pass).
