Registration

Enrollment is open to children who are at least 6 weeks old through age 4 by September 1 st of the school year in which you are applying. Registration is on a first come, first served basis. Public registration begins Monday, March 1, 2010 at 8:30am. You may register by mail or in person.

Parents interested in having their child, or children, attend Bright Star Preschool, should complete a registration form for each child and submit it along with the required $50 registration fee per child . This will secure your child's spot for the 2010-2011 school year. Once classes are filled, anyone interested in registering will be placed on a waiting list.

Mail completed form, along with $50 fee or drop off in person.

Annual tuition is due in advance by August 1, 2010. You have the additional options to pay in two installments (August 1, 2010 and January 1, 2011) or on a monthly basis. Monthly tuition is due in advance on the first of each month and will incur late fees if not paid by the 10th. An annual activity fee is due along with your annual tuition payment, your first semi-annual payment, or the first month's tuition payment. (see Tuition Options )

Important Information

Fees and tuition payments are non-refundable . Tuition is based on an average number of school days during an entire school year. No reimbursements are made for vacations, illness or the closing of school due to inclement weather. Should your child be unable to attend once the school year begins, we would appreciate prompt notification. Bright Star Preschool follows closely the Douglas County School System calendar.

Parent Orientation Meeting

Once the current school year ends, all pre-registered families will receive an enrollment letter and notification of our upcoming Parent Orientation meeting.  You are encouraged to attend this meeting as it will provide an excellent opportunity to meet our teachers.

At this time, you will also need to complete your enrollment papers . Please bring with you the following:

  • a copy of your child's birth certificate and
  • Immunization form 3231, signed and dated by your pediatrician 

Parents should verify the following:

  • Registration fee and form submitted
  • Activity fee paid
  • Annual tuition, 1st semi-annual tuition payment, or 1st monthly tuition payment paid
  • Submitted a copy of my child's birth certificate
  • Submitted completed form #3231
  • Completed Emergency Medical Form
  • Completed Transportation Card
  • Completed Allergy Information Form
  • Completed Media Release Form
  • Received a copy of the Parent Handbook

Enrollment is considered complete once all information and documents have been provided.

Preschool Visits

If you would like to visit Bright Star Preschool, please call our offices at 770-949-2555 to arrange a time. This is a great chance to see our program in action and have any questions answered one on one. During the school year (August –May), visits are scheduled Monday through Friday between 9:30am and 11:30am.
